Yesterday evening, Munroe's Parent Advisory Council met. Our primary agenda item was to discuss next steps in the greening of Munroe's schoolyard. This important project was decided upon at October's PAC meeting. Kudos and a BIG THANKS to Eugenia Lehmann and Connie Buffone, the co-chairs of Munroe's PAC, for taking the lead in this exciting initiative. A number of other parents have indicated their readiness to be on the "Greening Committee", and so can you!
Next steps are:
- inviting other parents to join up
- identifying Munroe staff who will actively support this project
- inviting students from all grade levels to join up
- initiating a blog that will track the progress.
- survey parents, staff and students about what their wishes
- develop a proposal to the school division, before any of the work can begin
- begin writing grant proposals, essential to making the dream a reality
So . . . here is the blog - one of the "next steps" is already done.
